I need to know why only one RAM card work?

my computer has 128MB PC133 SD RAM JetRAM indstalled is in a slot. i recently bought a 256MB PC133 SDRAM Kingston new and installed in the next slot. detecet computer but only 256 should give me 265,128, but it does show that 256 .. two RAM slots and card works perfectly when working alone .. So why is it that show 256 ..? thank you for giving me a solution

There could one or two things. 1. Try upgrading your RAM, put the Kingston, where is and where JetRAM JetRAM Kingston and see if it recongnizes then. 2. Your computer can access to 256MB of memory thats the way most computers will see, even if you have another 128 MB of SDRAM computer, it may not be able use 256, you want to check the manual for this. 3. Sometimes the generic memory that it may look like JetRAM simply did not play with others.
