3 Corsair XMS DDR-3 Memory Problem in Gigabyte EX-58 UD3P?
My Specs are: – Intel Core i7 920 Gigabyte GA EX-58 UD3P 4 (2×2 GB) GB Corsair XMS3 DDR-3 1333 MHz Seagate 1TB HDD Sparkle Nvidia 9600 GT 1024 MB 1 LG DVD RW Cooler Master Extreme 460W PSU Cooler Master Elite 334 Cabinet. When I installed the 4GB RAM mode dual channel, boot.instead system restarts. So I removed 1 module .. Then, the system works perfectly. Now, I installed the latest BIOS (F7B), and controlled dual channel config .. the problem still exists … Can anyone help me …????
Hello You can run memtest to check if your RAM is defective. Http: / / www.memtest.org/ download the files you put a blank disc and start disk. Another note: You have an Intel i7 920 and a x58 chipset, so you should have 3 sticks of memory, not two. I find it very … particular. The X58 chipset should have memory in its "native" triple-channel configuration. Why? Because the voltage RAM memory on a motherboard X58 is 1.65V. Nothing more than 1.65V will cause damage to the motherboard and make the system unstable. Many of Dual Channel memory running at voltages higher, however .. around 1.7V to 1.8V. Go to Bios and Check / Memory Tweak voltages .. But I think you should just return the memory and remembering Triple Channel instead. Hope that helps.
