Is to use 1600MHz DDR3 RAM with a motherboard that supports up to 1066?

I bought a CPU, motherboard and heatsink combo Heat of knowledge and I'm just wondering if it's good if I put in 6GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM when the motherboard supports DDR3 memory 1066 MHz. Is it backward compatible? Do I have to set anything in the BIOS? While the ram will work with this motherboard?

ram each operate at different clock speeds .. so .. since the max supproted by 1066 .. motherboard is the fastest suppored by RAM at a speed less than or equal to 1066 running on your machine .. sure .. not not buy RAM with a frequency much .. it costs more .. and you can use .. so … go for a 1333 or 1066 DDR3 RAM DDR2 800 MHz .. same so beautiful … sppedds but not least ..
